A spectacular day. We had heat, wind, more heat, and more wind. Adin Pass was simply one of the most stunning places, with long, winding curves through scrub foothills, and unrivaled vistas.

If one ignores the cityscapes of Reno and Carson City, the rest of this ride is simply awe-inspiring. You can’t beat Mono Lake’s azure color, or the grandeur of 10,000-foot Tioga Pass, or the unparalleled vistas at every turn of the road through Yosemite National Park.

We made it safely to Mariposa and the HU gathering near dark. I’m pretty sure everyone slept well, as this was our longest day on the bikes so far. We were all grateful for the showers!
