Hi Guys! This is Glen,
I want to thank Tad Haas and Gaila Gutierrez for letting me check out their growing business, MotoStays, this past weekend.
MotoStays is cross between Couch-surfing and Air BnB, but targeting the needs of the motorcycle traveling culture. Tad and Gaila saw the need for an easy way to match motorcycle travelers and motorcycle-friendly lodging, and MotoStays was born.
Thanks to Tad’s son Elliot, the web manager, the MotoStays site is clear and easy to navigate. If you are looking for just tent space with power or a free room and a real bed for the night, it’s all there in the descriptions. You can even plan trips around the maps of other members; If you’re planning a long trip, you can easily see where you might stay.
Listing your place is easy too! Consider listing your extra space with MotoStays, because as the membership grows, so will your travel options! Here is our listing:
Tad and Gailia came up with this idea while on a 14 month 40,000 mile trip that covered the 4 corners of the US then all the way down to Panama and back. Check out their trip here. Overland now
When they returned, going back to their old lives just didn’t feel right after experiencing the freedom of the traveling lifestyle. This is their way to give back to the wonderful people they met along their journey and grow the culture of adventure travel.
If you are ever in the Seattle area, give them a ring – they are excellent hosts! When you stay, you will be treated to one of the best cups of coffee from beans hand-roasted by Tad. Simply amazing!
Thanks, Tad and Gaila, for an amazing evening of great conversation, good food and excellent wine!
