I don’t think there is any other riding school in the nation that can pull this off. Top notch instruction for a full weekend of real world Dual Sport training. MSF Advanced Experienced Rider Course AND Dirt 101!!! Both classes are discounted for this weekend only! If your time or budget limits you to only one day of training, that’s totally cool. Off Road 101

Date: 5/23/15
Time: 10:00am-3:00pm
Location: Straddleline ORV Park – near McCleary, WA

The Off Road 101 course is for riders looking to expand or learn general off road riding techniques. Streetor off road riding experience is required. This is an excellent venue for street riders that are interested in becoming more skilled at traction control and technical riding.

Key Skills:
· Riding posture (standing, sitting, weight transfer)
· Slow speed control (clutch/throttle/brake coordination)
· Picking up your motorcycle
· Braking and evasive maneuvers
· Surmounting obstacles
· Starting/stopping, ascending/descending hills
· You will also learn how to prevent injury, control traction and how to set your bike up for better control and comfort.

Gear Requirements:
· DOT approved helmet with chin bar
· Eye protection
· Mid-calf boots (street or dirt)
· Full fingered gloves
· Long sleeve shirt or jacket
· Long pants
· Prepare for the weather (rain gear, sunscreen, etc)
· Lunch as well as snacks & drinks for throughout the day

Bike Requirements:
· Bike must be in good working order and pass a basic safety inspection at the beginning of class.

Recommended Bike Setup:
· Knobby tires (Not required, but will improve performance)
· Engine and Bodywork Protection
· Remove all luggage and all protruding accessories
· Remove mirrors

 
Advanced Experienced Rider Course (AERC)

Date: 5/24/15
Times: 8:00am-4:00pm
Location: Lacey, WA (Behind the South Sound Shopping Center)

The AERC is an 8-hour course for riders of all types of 2-wheeled motorcycles. This course is designed to be done on your own bike. It includes approximately 3 hours of classroom time that focuses on advanced street riding skills, improving your perception of hazards and situations, and allows you to self-evaluate your level of risk. The class then moves to the training range where you will gain experience under the supervision of our certified instructors in advanced motorcycle handling techniques.

Key Skills:
· Threshold braking
· Brake and evade
· Cornering adjustment (swerving and braking while cornering)
· Decreasing radius curves
· Multiple curves
· Traffic mix and gap management

Gear Requirements:
· DOT approved helmet
· Eye protection
· Boots – Sturdy and over the ankle
· Full fingered gloves
· Long sleeve shirt or jacket
· Long pants
· Prepare for the weather (rain gear, sunscreen, etc)

Bike Requirements:
· Bike must be in good working order and pass a basic safety inspection at the beginning of class.
· Must show proof of insurance listing the bike VIN and expiration of the policy.
